Judith G. Klausner's invertebrate art is currently on display in the Spineless Wonders show. The show has been well-received, and two newspapers have covered Ms. Klausner's work:
- The Portland Press Herald raves about the exhibit, calling Ms. Klausner's work "hilariously smart".
- The Somerville Times has published an article featuring Ms. Klausner's work along with another Somerville artist, Nicole Duennebier.

- The Boston Phoenix reviewed the Tufts Sixth Annual Juried Show. You can read their take on the show, which includes Triumph, Mantis Music Box, and Mantis Religiosa, by clicking here.
- The Salem News has an article on the first half of the Peabody Historical Society's show inviting contemporary artists to interpret their historical collection. The show included Ms. Klausner's piece Tooth and Nail. The article can be read online here.
WILD Things

We are pleased to announce that Judith G. Klausner's work will be featured in WILD Things, a juried exhibition at the Annemarie Garden in Solomons, MD. The focus of the show is work "inspired by the appearance, shape, sound, smell, energy, diet, behavior, history, prehistory and folklore of wild things."
The show opening and Spring Gala will occur on Saturday, May 30, and runs through August 30. Watch this space for more details on which pieces of Ms. Klausner's will be included in the show!
Tufts University Sixth Annual Juried Summer Exhibition

Every summer, Tufts University holds a juried show for artists residing in Somerville, Medford, Grafton, and Chinatown. We are pleased to announce that Judith G. Klausner's work has been selected for this year's show, the Sixth Annual Juried Summer Exhibition.
An opening will be held on Thursday, June 4, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. If you're in the Boston area, come and enjoy Rogue Entomologist sculpture, along with the work of many other local artists! The show runs from June 4–August 2.
"Post-Coital Cannibalism Barbie" Chosen for Trojan Barbie Art Exhibition

Judith G. Klausner's entry to the Trojan Barbie Barbie Doll Art Exhibition has been chosen as one of twelve works that will be shown from March 27-April 17 at Space 242. The exhibition accompanies the American Repertory Theater's production of Trojan Barbie, which premieres March 28.
The pieces were chosen by Tak Toyoshima, Creative Director for the Weekly Dig. An opening reception will be held at Space 242 on Friday, March 27.
Urban Legends & Rural Myths

We're pleased to announce that Judith G. Klausner's work will be featured in an upcoming juried exhibit at the Purdue University Galleries. Urban Legends & Rural Myths is "a national exhibition of contemporary art that inspires NEW myths, imagined histories and tall tales".
The show runs from March 9 through April 26, 2009, and will include the Off With Their Heads! series, as well as Mantis Religiosa.
"Spineless Wonders" Show at University of Southern Maine

Judith G. Klausner's work will be appearing in Spineless Wonders, a show of art inspired by invertebrates held at the University of Southern Maine. The exhibition will celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin, and the 150th anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species.
Spineless Wonders:Invertebrates as Inspiration will run from September 8 through December 18 2009 at the Atrium Gallery in Portland, ME. More information on the location can be found here.
Mantis Judith to be Included in ARTstor's Judith Project

Judith G. Klausner's "Judith and Holofernes" will be included in the ARTstor art reference archive for The Judith Project. From the ARTstor site:
ARTstor is a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.ARTstor will be hosting a collection of images related to the story of Judith and Holofernes as part of a project "to enhance scholarship on The Book of Judith and its later lexical and iconographical traditions on the theme of Judith and Holofernes in Western culture from antiquity to the present." (The Judith Project).
